Telfar Clemens takes a culturally subversive approach to design that rejects every notion of the conventional fashion system. his concept of radical inclusivity is best defined by the tagline: not for you, for everyone. during a brilliant talk at frieze art + fashion in 2018, Telfar explained that the clothes he wanted simply didn’t exist because those in power refused to acknowledge the existence of people like him - Black, queer, creative, and empowered. his brand was founded with the intention of creating these clothes.
